Buddy Brunch

Saturdays are always exhausting days, which means that Sundays are lazy days. I did basically nothing today, and I think it was a good choice. For starters, my legs are actually sore from Caernarfon. Mostly just my thighs, from climbing so many stairs. The shorter towers had 66 steps. I went up at least 8 or 9 of those (this was before we realized they all gave you the SAME view...) and we went up the highest tower too. I'm glad I did it all, but my legs aren't so happy.

Melisa and I met this morning for "Buddy Brunch" at Bar Uno. In "honor" of Valentine's Day (which I think is the most stupid holiday ever), they had buy one get one free breakfast. Melisa was my date, which is always fun. And we had hot chocolate, which was a great idea. I love hot chocolate :) They served us "traditional breakfast," which consisted of: eggs (over easy...gross); mushrooms (also gross); a triangle potato/hashbrown thing (good); toast (good); beans (to go on the toast...); and a sausage (that was a weird consistency...like mashed potatoes, and not very flavorful). I am proud of myself for trying more traditional food, rather than just stuff I know.

After brunch, I really did nothing at all. I read a book. Very exciting, I know. I talked to Liss for a little while (so exciting for her, since I was a little crabby when we talked). I'm not quite sure where my day went. But it disappeared really fast. Weekends are always a little weird, since my schedule is never the same. I'm excited to get back into a routine tomorrow morning. I like having a simple life, but I miss being legitimately busy.
