No love!

Despite going to bed at 3 am (I stayed up to talk to Lissa and John, two of my favorite people in the whole entire world!), today was a really good day. I woke up at 10, to get ready for my morning class. I met Noelia, since she has added the Soc Theory class. It's nice to have someone to walk with! And today was the seminar part of class. Each Friday, one or two people will present on a topic, and then we will have discussion. We discussed Karl Marx today, since the lecture on Tuesday was about him and his ideas. I liked it, because I've discussed a lot of it before in my Deviance class. There were only about 10 people there, since the seminars are split into two groups. I love discussions, and so I talked a lot. Go figure. Class puts me in a really good mood, which makes me feel like a dork. But I love going to class, having discussions, and feeling like I did something worthwhile.

After class ended at noon, I stopped by security because I wanted to check my mail. But no one realized I was there, so no one came out to help me. I left, because it felt ridiculously awkward. Melisa came over for lunch, and then I really did nothing at all most of the day. I read for a while, and tried to nap. I couldn't fall asleep, so I just got up and read more. I decided that I wasn't going to study at all today. Weekends aren't any different than any other day of the week, so I'm trying to make them different. Melisa and I really aren't comfortable going out, so I don't think we will be going out to the bars any time soon. We do still plan on getting out and exploring what we can.

Melisa went with me to check my mail again. No mail yet (sorry Liss) and it was really very sad. I did say that I'm actually expecting something, and that I'm not just hoping. I feel silly when I stop by a lot. Also, after the one security man came back without mail, I was a little disappointed, and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "No love." It was funny because the man told us that there was lots of love for us at the security office. It made me smile, and Melisa and I can't quite figure out why it wasn't creepy for him to say it. It just wasn't, he seemed like a really nice man. Plus, that's all he said. They aren't very talkative people here. I'm pretty sure he felt bad for us, considering that neither of us had mail...

We made some really good stir fry for dinner. It was really simple though, and I'm almost certain that the Asian flat-mates of Melisa's laughed at us when they came in and saw us cooking. They make stir fry every night, and it has lots of ingredients. Ours had rice, chicken, peppers, carrots, and sweet and sour sauce. I didn't really like the sauce, but the rest of it turned out really well! Definitely a success :)

Tomorrow, Melisa and I are going for another long walk. Not as fair as Beamaris Castle, but it should still be a good walk. There is a small town nearby, and it apparently has the longest name of any town in Europe. The town is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. It's Welsh, and it means: "The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave." It should be an adventure, which is just what I am looking for! Oh, and I'll be able to take more pictures! I feel like a slacker, having so little to blog about and so few pictures. But that will be changing soon :)
